Happy World Cardmaking Day! – Truly Grateful
I have spent the past few days NOT stamping but instead just trying to keep up with the new production goals I set for myself this month. Like it or not, more money is going out around here lately than is coming in, so the only answer is either make more or spend less, so we've been trying to do both. This is our reality for the next few years as we try to pay off the debt we accumulated over the past few years and live within our budget while we are still paying tuition for our kids' schools and braces for Will. Two years should see us clear of some of it, and the next two should see us clear of it all.
Luckily, no longer being Mom the Taxi Driver means I have a clear shot at really getting a lot more done since my day is no longer chopped up, which means I have been having at least part of my evenings clear to do what I like.
So before I got a little busier, I DID have some time to stamp, and I have a couple of cards in the hopper. Here's one using the weekly sketch challenge at Splitcoaststampers.
Ingredients: Stamps – Truly Grateful; Paper – Sweater Weather DSP, Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip; Ink – Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Pear Pizzaz, Crushed Curry; Other – 7/16" Trim, Naturals Designer Buttons, Linen Thread, blender pen, Chocolate Chip Marker, Stampin' Trimmer with TIny Wave blade, dimensionals, Signo white gel pen.
GOJUS! (YILM!) One detail on the right side is the button. I used a marker to draw a mock button hole, giving this paper that looks like knitted fabric the look of actual clothing.
You can buy this set and all the other items I used to make this card at my webstore:
Enjoy World Cardmaking Day! Ta!
