Stampin’ Up! Happy Watercolor card
It seems incongruous in the midst of piles of snow and the slow inexorable progress of the insanity of the holiday season to be playing with stamps that represent spring and summer holidays, but such is the life of a demonstrator. I got my new schtuff from the Occasions catalog preorder more than two weeks ago, though, and have yet to make much of a dent into it as I have been working hammer and tongs at home to keep up with tuition payments and whatnot. Hence my absence from my blog.
You may also have noticed that I am not on the Freak tour this month, and this would be because I dropped out of the Controlfreaks group. If all I had to do was to participate in the tour, I would have stayed in, but the swap mom, Lisa Martz, feels that a swap group is for the purpose of swapping. Since I am not holding many events these days, having swaps for people to look at is not something I really need to do right now, and so I am taking a sabbatical from Controlfreaks until I am less busy working.
HOWEVER, I do still have time to craft and to share with you, my loyal readers. So I got this card done using one of my favorite sets in the Occasions catalog, Happy Watercolor. Lookie:
Ingredients: Stamps – Happy Watercolor; Paper – Retro Fresh DSP, Tangerine Tango, Coastal Cabana, Very Vanilla; Ink – Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabnan, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango; Other – Banners Framelits,On Film Framelits, Retro Fresh Washi Tape, Gold baker’s twine, Subtles candy dots, dimensionals, Signo white gel pen; Markers – Crisp Canteloupe, Tangerine Tango, So Saffron.
GOJUS! I mixed different elements of different product suites in this card, and I think they work together beautifully! And I love this set, Happy Watercolor! So fun to play with!
Well, I have to get back to the keyboard. I will be posting more cards this weekend. Ta!
