Stampin’ Up! Stippled Blossoms Mother’s Day Card and more Reorganization
I went through my stash of card for the shop, and found I had a distinct lack of Mother's Day cards. That combined with the fact I had paper I had not used more than once and was feeling inspired combined to help me create this:
Ingredients: Stamps – Stippled Blossoms, Delightful Dozen, Hardwood, Teeny Tiny WIshes; Paper – Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack, Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, Real Red, Whisper White; Ink – Real Red, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso; Other – Natural Chefron ribbon, Neutrals Candy Dots, Lovely Leaves Sizzlit, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso markers, Dimensionals, sponge wedges.
GOJUS! (YILM!) I really have been enjoying the Hardwood stamp lately, and you'll be seeing it on more cards coming up! Close up:
The other day when I reorganized my ribbon, I was able to move other things around to occupy the space that used to contain the ribbon. And it opened up enough space in front of my third-level ink pad holder, my first-level being my Color Caddy and the second-level being the Port-A-Ink that I had from before the Color Caddy. The third-level ink pad holder was a cassette tape holder I had gotten before the Port-A-Ink that I didn't particulary like for storing my ink pads, but it works if that's the sort of thing you like. Before, the bottom half of it was kind of blocked off, so I only used the upper half. Now I could get to the whole thing, I started thinking about my retired pads and how they were languishing in the closet, unloved. Seemed stupid to me. Time for my retired ink pads to see the light!
I decided to arrange current by color family and retired by color. The Port-A-Ink has all the red, purple, blue, and green colors, including the soon-to-be-retiring In Colors just to make some room for the 2014-2016 In Colors, whatever they may be.
And I was able to put all the yellows, oranges, and browns in the third-level ink spot along with the craft pads I have (I never did get all of those), plus all my Stazon, and all the OTHER pads I have from (cough cough) other companies.
I love reorganizing!
By the way, March 31st is the last day of Sale-A-Bration (when you can get something free for each $50 in merchandise you buy) AND it's the last day to take advantage of the free marker set for signing up with Paper Pumpkin.
