An Open Heart – Stampin Up – Bokeh technique

An Open Heart – Stampin Up – Bokeh technique

I've had this set for a while, and with all the Occasions catalog stuff I had to play with, it took a back seat. So when I wanted to play with the bokeh technique, I grabbed it and started playing. It took a couple of tries for me to be satisfied with what I got. Lookie:

GOJUS! (YILM!) I love these colors together! (Lost Lagoon, Pistachio Pudding, Hello Honey, Pool Party). To create the circles, I made a stencil with the Circle Framelits and a smaller circle with the 1/2" punch with a window sheet, then sponged the colors through the stencil.

I love this stamp from Banner Blessings! I paper pieced the banner part.

I stamped the bird first, masked it when I was sponging the color on, then painted it afterwards with my aquapainter and ink pads.
