Concord & 9th Tree Ring Background Stamp
I got this cute background stamp because I simply could not resist it. I have a lot of ideas for it, but this was the first one I came up with.
I had to pull some things out of the vault to make it because no one has a greeting stamp with this greeting, and I had a specific look I was going for. Lookie:
GOJUS!!! (YILM!) The smaller letters are from the alphabet rotary stamp from SU!, the letters in "cool" are from the retired SU! alphabet Rough Edges, and the letters in Yule are a foam stamp set from Making Memories called Philadephia lower case. I excavated it from a drawer when I was reorganizing. I used some Colorbox Chalk ink called Lipstick red to stamp the letters, then used my Silhouette with the PixScan to cut them out multiple times so that I could stack them up to make them really dimensional.
It was harder than cutting out stamped images on white card stock. I actually had to take the photo into Photoshop and turn it into a black and white photo so that there was enough contrast to trace properly. Once I had cut the stamped letters out, I just copied the outlines I had created 4 times and cut them out of plain craft card stock. I then stuck them all together with 2-Way Glue and adhered them with Tombow Mono Multi.
I used my new Tim Holtz Juniper stamp go create the decoration on the Yule log and used a bit of ribbon from the stash to finish it.
Finally I grabbed this retired SU! clip from the stash and plopped a Real Red candy dot in the center.
Below is my list of products that I used (that are still available), and I have used affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you. Stampin' Up! product links lead to their webstore, so please be sure to indicate your preference in demonstrator if it doesn't come up automatically!
