My Favorite Things All Heart and Love You More – MFT Sketch 263

My Favorite Things All Heart and Love You More – MFT Sketch 263

I got a chance to play with my newest MFT goodies last night, so I decided to do the current sketch challenge. I have to say, this card EVOLVED. I started with the two bird image from All Heart and the Love is Me & You sentiment, and by the time I was done, it had totally changed. Lookie:

GOJUS!!! (YILM!) Originally, I had embossed the card front with an embossing folder, cut out the bird image, and layered it up with the piece of striped patterned paper and the different greeting cut out with a different die, and it just shouted WRONG! SO WRONG! The greeting was too long to fit next to the birds, so I changed that. Then I cut out pieces with the washi tape dies, and the birds just didn't match. So I changed out the image, did all the distress stamping on a new piece of cardstock, and VOILA!

To bling things up I used the fine gold thread from Stampin' Up! This stuff is a pain to work with because it's so thin, but I like the look. I also went over the lines on the image with a Sakura Stardust pen to add even more bling.

A few Darice 5 mm sequins add the finishing touch.

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used affiliate links where they are available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links doesn't cost you a dime, but by doing so you help me support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you. Stampin' Up! links lead to their website, and all you need to do is select the demonstrator of your choice when ordering.

Enjoy! Ta!
