My Favorite Things – January 2016 Card Kit – Beautiful Blooms – MFTWSC264
I have good news and bad news.
The good news is that My Favorite Things came out with a ROCKIN' new kit!
The bad news is that they are sold out.
But I have more good news in that the stamp set, the dies, and the paper pack will be available about 6 weeks after the release date of the kit.
I, of course, bought the kit the day it was released and I received it on Saturday…I love the colors and the Tranquil Textures paper is SO PRETTY. I love the sequins too…already going on my must-have list of supplies to replenish once I use them up!
I decided for my first card to play along with the current sketch challenge. I rotated the sketch because I thought a vase with flowers would look better on a portrait orientation. Lookie:
GOJUS!!! (YILM!) Ya think I have enough flowers in there? NAH!
I admit, I just couldn't stop at a few. It's like M&M's or potato chips or sumthin'. But they are BEAUTIFUL! Normally, I wouldn't buy the matching die set, but a) this was a kit so it came along for the ride and b) totally worth it for the vases. I can think of many more stamp sets that I will be able to use these for!
I ended up grabbing my trusty large oval punch for the greeting. The striped piece was done using Avery Elle's Dotted Borders dies. And you can see how pretty and glimmery those sequins are.
It makes me hopeful for spring, it does. Which I know many of you are not experiencing, particularly on the east coast. The storm you are having totally missed us here in Michigan. There's a tiny part of me that is sad, since I enjoy the excitement of big snow, with snow days and digging out. But that part of me is very tiny indeed. I don't really like snow all that much! Stay safe everyone!
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used affiliate links where they are available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links doesn't cost you a dime, but by doing so you help me support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you. Stampin' Up! links lead to their website, and all you need to do is select the demonstrator of your choice when ordering.
I went ahead and linked to the kit, even though it's sold out. Hopefully, once the stamp set, the paper, and the dies end up in the shop I'll be able to come back and update the list.
