Fab Friday Challenge 93 – My Favorite Things Soda Pop
Welcome back to the Fab Friday challenge over at the Fab Friday Challenge Blog!
Sorry to have been mostly MIA for a while…the heat was getting to me. Sometimes you get to that point in summer where actually DOING things seems to take twice as much effort as any other time of the year, and you just want to lie quietly in your air conditioned house or find a shady spot somewhere and hibernate until it's safe to come out.
This week we have a sketch challenge:
I decided to go to the pile of stuff I hadn't used yet (sadly, this is growing out of control) and get some great products from My Favorite Things. Lookie:
GOJUS!! (YILM!) I had a lot of fun with this stamp set and its matching dies…I love the possibilities!
I colored the pop bottles with Copic markers that match the MFT colors I selected, which were Orange Fizz, Grape Jelly, and Sour Apple. I sponged Orange Fizz on the background, created light spots with dots of water, which I then highlighted with Ranger Glossy Accents.
I love the bottlecaps dies! I used silver foil paper for the caps as well as the tiny caps on top of the bottles.
A little Doodlebug Beetle Black twine is a great finishing touch.
I crushed it!
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Ribbon Resource, Gina K, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you. Stampin' Up! product links lead to their webstore, so please be sure to indicate your preference in demonstrator if it doesn't come up automatically!
