This week we have a sketch challenge:
I decided to grab the January card kit from Simon Says Stamp again and use the stamp set and some of the papers with a very cool die I got last year from Simon. Lookie:
STINKIN’ CUTE! The die is the Heart Fold die from Simon Says Stamp. Because the papers (Pebbles Forever My Always) are one-sided, I kind of cheated to get the blue polka dot paper to be the other side, by cutting that one from the wrong side and gluing it on top of the white side of the other paper).
I stamped the greeting on cream card stock with MFT’s Hot Fudge hybrid pad and added hearts in three different Simon colors, Lipstick Red, Watermelong, and Rose Apple. I added some clear glaze using a Sakura Clear Glaze pen to the hearts and some sparkle with my favorite Stardust pen.
I wanted something down here even though it doesn’t show in the sketch. I wanted a dark brown paper, but there was any in the pad EXCEPT the strips at the very top where it connects to the hinge on the pad. The 6 x 6 paper tears away from these strips, but they all have different patterns on them, so I used them to cut these two pieces. I added a couple of Doodlebug sprinkles to add a little sparkle!
I think it turned out cute!
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up! links lead to my BFF Wendy Weixler’s store, whose friendship is something I highly value, and I’m always happy to throw business her way. She does not reimburse me for doing so. If you have your own demo, you can of course change over to them. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.
If you’re reading this in an email, you’ll have to click TWICE on the links below, once to get to the LinkDeli site and again to get to the shop of your choice.
