Paper Crafts Crew 278 – Simon Says Stamp Brushed Branches
Welcome back to the Paper Crafts Crew Challenge! This week we have a sketch challenge.
I decided to change this from a landscape to a portrait sketch because I had a particular stamp I wanted to use:
GOJUS! I had this idea for the Brushed Branches stamp, turning it into a Valentine tree, ever since I got it! I stamped the tree with Altenew inks.
I used the Simon Says Stamp Circle Sayings set to make the half circle element, stamping on vellum with Altenew Grapevine ink. I decided to grab the Love set as well with the matching Love dies, and I cut the word Love from Black card stock and layered it on Schoolhouse Red. I used Wink of Stella clear to add some subtle shimmer over the black card stock.
I cut a bunch of heart outlines using Cotton Candy and Schoolhouse Red card stock with the Mini Heart Outlines dies and carefully arranged and glued them on top of the tree branches. I added dots of Nuvo Silver Moonlight Glitter drops anywhere there was a dot.
I used the Love stamp set to add the tag line and tied some Baker’s twine just above it.
I love how this turned out!

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up! links go to my BFF Wendy Weixler’s store, who does not pay me except in eternal friendship, but you can change to your favorite demonstrator if you prefer. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.
