Seasons Givings Blog Hop – Essentials by Ellen Bottles of Bubbly

Happy New Year and welcome to the Season’s Givings Blog Hop! This is the first year I’ve been able to participate, and I’m very excited! I’ve got 3 separate giveaways, but more on that later.

First I want to show you the project I made. Lookie:

Bottles of Bubbly from Essentials by Ellen by JanTink

GOJUS! I wanted to ring in the new year using this great set of dies, Bottles of Bubbly, from Essentials by Ellen from Ellen Hutson LLC that I received as part of my guest design spot last month. I started out by cutting the bottle out twice, once with regular heavy weight vellum cardstock and again partially with gold vellum then layering together using 3M Scotch vellum tape.

I layered up some great papers from the Girl Squad 6 x 6 pack from Pebbles, which has great gold foil accents, so I cut the Cheers sentiment using some gold foil card stock from DCMV. I added some Doodlebug Design Gold Glitter Sprinkles for large “bubbles”.

I used some Tonic Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter drops to add some more bubbles in the bottle. I added accents with various washi tapes, some still available, some not. A little strip of gold sequin trim added just the right touch.

It’s such a fun and festive card!

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up! links go to my BFF Wendy Weixler’s store, who does not pay me except in eternal friendship, but you can change to your favorite demonstrator if you prefer. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.

And now for the giveaways I have for you.

Zig Clean Color Markers

Four new still in the shrink wrap Zig Clean Color markers including Blue, Gray Tint, Ochre, and Black.

Assorted Ink Spots

Four ink cubes including Rose Gold Delicata, Simon Says Stamp Steel Blue and Thistle, and My Favorite Things Gumdrop Green.

Snail Adhesive

Five Snail Adhesive refill cartridges from Stampin’ Up! If you don’t have a cartridge to fill with these, I can throw in an old one of mine. Since I’m not a demonstrator, I don’t use this adhesive anymore, but many people really like it.

To enter, leave a comment on my blog telling me what your crafting New Year’s resolution is! Also let me know if you’ve already got something I’ve given away so I can choose the best prize for you! You have until Sunday, January 7th to enter, winner announced at noon EST on Monday, January 8th.

If you’re new to my blog, you can subscribe in many different ways: Follow me on WordPress, follow me on Feedly, follow me on Bloglovin’, subscribe to my blog with Feedblitz, or subscribe to my monthly newsletter. All of these options are in the sidebar of my blog except for Feedly, which is a floating button near the bottom of the screen.

Be sure to stop by the rest of the blogs and websites that are participating in this great hop!

  • Thank you for the opportunity to win your giveaway. I also used to be a SU demonstrator and just recently learned there is a whole world of stamping companies and people yet o be discovered by me.

  • Wow!! That’s a great way to share kindness!! Thank you so much everyone for coming together! 🙂 Happy New Year 🙂
My crafty goal is to spread more smiles and make sure I do not miss sending out cards to crafty friends 🙂
    Your card is beautiful 🙂

  • Gorgeous card! My resolution is to include more hand-drawn elements (e.g. backgrounds) on my cards, and to learn calligraphy. I already have the Delicata ink, though don’t mind having a second if it would mean getting the other inks, as I could use more inks! Actually I’d be happy with any of the prizes. I’ve been wanting to try zigs, and I’m looking for a new tape runner solution as the one I have has been causing trouble! Thanks for the chance to win, and Happy New Year 🙂

  • Happy New Year! Thank you for inspiring me to create throughout 2017 and here’s to more fun in 2018. This year I hope to find more time to create and my resolution is to create at least 10 cards a month. You are too sweet to offer to change the prize for the lucky winner. I don’t have any of these tools so I would be thrilled to give them a new home. Thank you.

  • I think your New Year’s Eve card is awesome, awesome!!! I would love it if I was to receive it. You have been very generous with your “Give-aways”. I would love to win any of the items you are giving away. The only thing would be that I would need an old one of your snails as I haven’t got a SU snail machine. I am a new crafter so I am developing my stash of equipment. I have though, it seems a lot of card stock and DSP that I need but a lot more than I need. So my New Year’s Crafting Resolution is to be more creative with my card stock and DSP in order to use these up in my projects rather than purchasing more. That way I will have more money to purchase other items for my stash. Happy 2018! :O)

  • Love that gold vellum! My goal this year is to create weekly, and to use the tools and supplies that I already have.

  • Happy New Year!! One of my new years resolutions is to unmount some of my wood stamp sets to make room in my drawers for new stamp sets! I have unmounted and made cling mount sets out of 7 sets so far today!

  • Super fun and festive card to celebrate the new year! I hope to find more time to get inky in 2018. Happy 2018!

  • Happy New Year to you and your family, Jan! I hope your year will be filled with joy and peace and love. Thank you for offering such a generous giveaway! My 2018 crafty resolution is to make more time to share and teach my passion for papercrafts to others. After all, that’s what it’s all about, right? All the best…

  • What a fun card!! I love how the cork is “popping” off! My crafty resolution for this year is to use up my bits and pieces stash (or at least whittle it down to a manageable pile!) Thanks for the chance to win.

  • My goal is to work on my granddaughter’s scrapbook and to do something creative every day for at least 15 minutes. Thanks for the opportunity to win a great prize!

  • Happy New Year!!! Love the champagne bottle you made and the adorable card. I do follow your blog closely as I love everything you make and it inspires me to be creative. This year I am hoping to create more and actually blog about it again. I have been so busy will school and work the past three years, that something had to give and I’m hoping this year to take some more time for myself and my hobby. Thank you for the chance to win.

  • My goal is to finish a scrapbook recipe book that I’m making for my daughter. I don’t have any of these products, so any of them would be awesome if I were to be chosen the winner! Thanks for being a part of this blog hop!

  • Love your bottle of bubbly; very clever and detailed but fairly simple to put together. I hope to learn new techniques and craft outside the box more this year.

  • All of the prizes are great, so I’m not partial, but if I win I do not have the cartridge for the tape runners. I plan to finally try to master heat embossing in 2018. So far all I’ve done is get burned and/or make a big mess. Have a Blessed 2018.

  • I looking forward to learning more about different ways of making cards. I also look forward to learning about other companies besides Close to my Heart.

  • My crafting New Year’s resolution is to not “procraftinate” as much as I usually do. I need to get in the habit of finishing projects ahead of time.
I don’t already have anything in your prize pack so it would all be useful for me! Thanks for sharing!

  • Wonderful prizes. Love to try new inks. I have the Zig markers (unless these
are new colors) and I’m a demonstrator for SU (but I can always use more
tape for my dispenser. I’ll be just be thrilled to see my name as a winner
and receive a gift in the mail.
thanks for sharing. Have a great 2018.

  • I have been wanting to try the Kuretake pens ever since Lydia Fiedler wrote about them on her blog some time ago. And who needs more tape runners? Me! that’s who. I am always running out for more and in these sub zero temps, I do not want to run out, literally or figuratively.

  • Never thought to use vellum for a bottle…..THANKS! My 2018 goals are to get ahead on my cards, think outside the box and improve muy coloring techniques. Thank you for the chance to win

  • My goal for 2018 is to finish at least one of the scrapbooks that I’m working on. Thanks for the opportunity to win. You can never have enough adhesive. (I don’t have a dispenser for this type though). Happy new year!

  • Love the textured details on your card! I’m hoping to build up my extra stash of handmade cards so I don’t feel pressured to create something right before an occasion

  • 2018 is for more crafting. I had to put it all on hold for family in 2017 and now I want to dust off the supplies and get going. Thanks for sharing your fun card. Happy New Year

Your give aways are very generous!

  • My goal for 2018 is to find more time for my crafting and to experiment with new techniques. Thanks for the generous giveaway. I especially love the Stampin’ Up tape runners. Happy New Year!

  • I would like to become better at coloring in the new year. I’m very unsure when I color and hopefully with practice I’ll become confident. I don’t already have any of the prizes. I do own adhesive but not this kind.

  • Love your festive card! Planning to work on organization this year! Your prizes are all great, and no duplicates here except for one Zig color (the others are all different from the ones I have, but I don’t mind an extra one!).
Happy New Year to everyone! Having fun on this fabulous hop!

  • Really clever New Year’s card. My goals for next year: get better organized, send out my cards in a more timely manner, and learn to watercolor better. Great giveaways – who wouldn’t want any of the three!

  • Hi Jan, your card is fantastic, well done.
What an amazing prize PACK! WOW! I don’t have any of these items, not even a case for the refills . LOL (I used to buy and use that all the time but the more I got into stamping the more tape I used so I had to up-size to the ATG. LOL)
The first thing on the agenda for me for 2018 is to deep clean my craft room and reorganize it as I haven’t been able to do anything crafty for the past 6 months. However, in the winter I am home alone most of the time so thats when I make up for it. Haha, and thats just what I intend to do.
    Happy New Year

My crafting resolution is to learn to correctly blend inks, like distress inks, as currently I end up more stressed than they do, I get circles that are made by ice skating imps no matter what paper or which brand ink.
