Simon Says Stamp – Breakfast Buddies

Simon Says Stamp – Breakfast Buddies

I have a weakness for cute stamps. It’s what led me astray from my, cough, former association. Seriously. There are way too many cute stamps out there! How will I ever get to them all? Am I the only one who suffers this way?Smiley from Millan.Net

You’d think, wouldn’t you, that out of the kindness of their hearts, my favorite companies would send me all their new stamps for free, wouldn’t you? No? Well, I wish they would. Sooner or later, I will run out of things to sell. I managed to get this set by dint of selling off some of my “inventory” on Ebay. I’m trying to make room for things I DO use and say goodbye to things I don’t, along with using the money to get some new things. Lookie:

STINKIN’ CUTE! I colored my lineup of bacon and eggs with Copic markers. And now I want some bacon. Smiley from Millan.Net Darn it!

Once I got the bacon colored, I used the colorless blender to pull some of the color from the lighter stripes, and it looks a lot like bacon! Imagine that!

I love the little whisk from Kaisercrafts with a bit of gingham ribbon that matches the gingham paper from MFT Stamps.

I added some Ranger Glossy Accents to the egg yokes and added a Doodlebug Sprinkle up in the corner to help balance the design.

This would make a good Valentine’s card or just a nice card to say I love you! It would make a great card to invite someone to go to breakfast with you! Like me! As long as they have bacon!

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, MFT Stamps, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up! links lead to my BFF Wendy Weixler’s store, whose friendship is something I highly value, and I’m always happy to throw business her way. She does not reimburse me for doing so. If you have your own demo, you can of course change over to them. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.If you’re reading this in an email, you’ll have to click TWICE on the links below, once to get to the LinkDeli site and again to get to the shop of your choice.

Enjoy! Ta!

  • Have NO FEAR, Jan… you are not alone in your weakness! I make cards for Send A Smile 4 Kids… so you just know this style of stamp is perfect for my donated cards. Your card is fabulous.. I may have to case it because my stamp set is on the way too. Thanks for sharing your talent.

  • What a YUMMY card!! ADORE this, Jen! So glad that you join the fun over Simon Says Stamp Wednesday “Add a Die Cut” Challenge! Awesome details and design! Super work!

  • This is so sweet Jan, the images are perfect for the red gingham in the background, makes it more ‘appetizing’. LOL The Glossy Accents definitely add the appropriate finishing touch to the design/image.
PS, thanks for the heads up. I am not great with copying/pasting so decided to comment again.
