Fab Friday 133 – Joy Clair – Best Buds
This is a pretty simple sketch, and I kept my card fairly simple. I sometimes get really involved in doing something complex with tons of little details that I forget that sometimes a simple, quick card is just as nice. Lookie:
STINKIN’ CUTE! I love these bunnies and decided to go with a very spring-like color scheme because WINTER JUST WON’T GO AWAY HERE!!! Tell me I’m not the only one that is SUFFERING?!?!? But I digress… I chose the cute Perfectly Plaid 6 x 6 paper pack from Lawn Fawn for a great spring color scheme.
Joy Clair does not have dies to match their stamps, so I used my Brother ScanNCut to cut these cute little bunnies out after I colored them with Copic markers. I used a Sakura black glaze pen to add a little dimension to the eyes. The grass on the background is actually some Scotch Expressions washi tape.
I heat embossed the greeting on Audrey Blue card stock from Simon Says Stamp and used the Triple Banner punch from Stampin’ Up! to create the fishtail shape. A little washi tape and baker’s twine from Doodlebug Design added some nice little touches.
And a couple of Doodlebug Design glitter sprinkles are the last touch.
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Hallmark Scrapbook, My Favorite Things, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up! links lead to my BFF Wendy Weixler’s store, whose friendship is something I highly value, and I’m always happy to throw business her way. She does not reimburse me for doing so. If you have your own demo, you can of course change over to them. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.If you’re reading this in an email, you’ll have to click TWICE on the links below, once to get to the LinkDeli site and again to get to the shop of your choice.
