Simon Says Stamp – Crafty Friend

Simon Says Stamp – Crafty Friend

I’ve had this card in the hopper for a while, but it just kept getting pushed to the back for challenge projects. I’m glad to finally get to post it, because I really love it! This was from the February 2018 Simon Says Kit, and it was the first thing that came into my head when I saw the stamp set, Crafty Friend. Lookie:

GOJUS! I had a particular crafty friend in mind for this, and now that I finally managed to get this up on the blog I can send it to her!

I originally stamped the paint tubes using Versafine Onyx black, but after I had taken the watercolors included in the kit and painted the streams of paint flowing out of the tubes I wanted the tubes to look shiny and it was too late to heat emboss it. So I used a Sakura Clear Glaze pen to completely cover the tubes.

I did end up heat embossing the greeting with clear EP. I cut the watercolor piece out using Tim Holtz’s Stitched Rectangles dies because I thought it looked really artsy. Those are on sale right now on the Sizzix site, linked up below.

I added the sequins that are actually retired Stampin’ Up! In Color sequins from a few years back that were amazing matches for those paint colors which I think just elevates the card incredibly.

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Hallmark Scrapbook, My Favorite Things, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up! links lead to my BFF Wendy Weixler’s store, whose friendship is something I highly value, and I’m always happy to throw business her way. She does not reimburse me for doing so. If you have your own demo, you can of course change over to them. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.If you’re reading this in an email, you’ll have to click TWICE on the links below, once to get to the LinkDeli site and again to get to the shop of your choice.

Enjoy! Ta!
