Paper Craft Crew 288 – Concord & 9th Painted Rose

Paper Craft Crew 288 – Concord & 9th Painted Rose

Welcome back to the Paper Craft Crew Challenge!  This week we have an inspiration challenge.

PCC288

I knew exactly what I wanted to use for this challenge, as I had a beautiful new Concord & 9th set just waiting to be used, Painted Rose. Lookie:

GOJUS! This was actually a pretty fast card to throw together (relatively speaking!)

I stamped the rose using the Sea Shore mini ink cubes from Altenew. There is a nice photo tutorial about how to line up the stamps on Concord & 9th’s site. I then cut it out using the matching die.

I created the background using the Sketched Stripes Background stamp, which you can use to make plaids, but I just wanted stripes. For that rustic wood element, I also added a bit of cherry wood tape. It was a bit darker than I liked, so I pickled it using Hero Arts Unicorn White pigment ink. I added a strip of some rose gold washi tape from Prima that they discontinued when I wasn’t looking. I wanted that hint of pink that was in the photo, and I thought a bit of rose gold would do the trick, and it did! So I went even further and added some rose gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

This would be a great card for a wedding, a shower, an anniversary, or even a birthday! I love how it turned out!

You can play along with our challenge by clicking on this link.

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up! links go to my BFF Wendy Weixler’s store, who does not pay me except in eternal friendship, but you can change to your favorite demonstrator if you prefer. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.

Enjoy! Ta!
