Simon Says Stamp – Spring Flower Burst
I decided to do some coloring this weekend because it’s the 30-Day Coloring Challenge over at The Daily Marker. I had bought this set with Simon’s latest release, and this was the perfect opportunity to pull it out and play with it. Lookie:
Unfortunately, when I inked up the largest image, there was a big flaw in the image, and when I examined all the stamps, there were two or three more of the smaller ones that also had flaws. However, Simon has great customer service. I emailed Simon on Saturday and I got a reply on Monday that they will be sending out a new set. In the meantime, I was able to correct the flaw in the largest image by inking in the missing lines with a Copic liner pen.
This was fun to color and I used a LOT of colors. I also bought the matching dies and used those to cut out the images I colored.
I also used a Sakura White gel pen to add some white back into the images and then my favorite Sakura Stardust pen to add a bunch of bling.
I added some little dots around my layered images with Simon’s Duckling ink. Once I stamped the greeting, I decided not to add anything else. It just didn’t need it.
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Sizzix, Hallmark Scrapbook, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up! links go to my BFF Wendy Weixler’s store, who does not pay me except in eternal friendship, but you can change to your favorite demonstrator if you prefer. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.
