Sea-Prise! It’s Shark Week with Avery Elle!
Okay, okay, it can’t be shark week without making a shark card, amiright? I actually have a couple of shark sets, both from Avery Elle, so I pulled them both out, Sea-Prise and Hello Chum. I had a fab idea for an interactive card! It was one of those things that just had to be done!
Duh-duh. Duh-duh. Duh-duh, duh-duh, duh-duh, duh-duh….
Isn’t this fab?!?! I did a slider card that uses a strip of plastic bag for the mechanism. I created the waves using My Favorite Things Ocean Waves dies. Check out the action:
I colored the shark with Copic markers, and highlighted his teeth with a Sakura clear glaze pen, his eyes with a Sakura black glaze pen, and the crown with Wink of Stella.
I used a greeting from Hello Chum, the other shark set I have from Avery Elle, which gets covered when you pull the tab.
I used the Lawn Fawn set, Push Here, to stamp on the pull tab, which I created with My Favorite Things Inside-Out Rounded Stitched Rectangle STAX.
I used the same dies to create a notch so that it was easy to grab the pull tab.
This turned out so fabulously…so many layers of card stock that I didn’t even need to add any foam to pop things up! I had seen so many cute cards made with Sea-Prise, but I had to wait patiently for it to come back into stock.
