Mitten State Stamps – Autumn Leaves with Distress Oxide
I had this distress oxide background sitting in a bin from some playing I did back when they first came out. I have a hard time throwing stuff like that away, but then I end up with bunches of things that just sit there. I thought this particular one would work well with my Autumn Leaves stamp, so I stamped it on top. Lookie:
GOJUS! I did paint in some other colors on top of the leaves after stamping with Versafine Onyx Black.
Then I added some of the new Technique Junkies Shimmering Bliss Harvest Sunset on top of the piece after it was dry. WOW! WOWZA! This really added such richness to this piece.
I used a TJ stamp to create the greeting on vellum, using some Altenew Copper EP. Then I thought it looked more like Rose Gold, so I added the Prima washi tape on top. And for good measure, some Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins and this cute feather from Kaisercraft. Sometimes it’s hard to know when to stop, but I think I chose the right time.
It’s terrible, just terrible. Not the card, no, that is GOJUS!!! It’s the fact that now I will never throw stuff away just in case I can do something this awesome with it.
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Hallmark Scrapbook, My Favorite Things, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up links go to my BFF, Wendy Weixler’s site. She doesn’t pay me anything, but I’m always happy to throw business her way. If you’ve got a demonstrator you prefer to buy from you can, of course, change to their site.
Buying through these links costs you nothing extra but gives me a small percentage of the purchase price, which helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.
