Simon Says Stamp Fun and Festive Release – Dancing Deer

Yippee!! The Fun & Festive release at Simon Says Stamp is now live. This time they sent me another amazing die, and I made three cards with it. It’s called Simon Says Stamp Dancing Deer. Lookie:

For this one, I decided to go with a Rose Gold and pink color scheme. I used the Dancing Deer die along with Simon’s Merry Christmas die, cutting it out of rose gold foil card stock from DCWV’s Patterned Foils pad. I used Simon Cotton Candy cardstock, die cutting with one of Simon’s Stitched Rectangle dies, then embossing with Sizzix’s Winter Snowflakes 3-D die. For accents, I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins.

For this card, I grabbed Kaisercraft’s Wonderland 6 x 6 paper pad, which gave me the greeting, the scalloped trim, and the patterned paper I used for the deer and the background. I die cut the deer out of Simon black card stock and paper pieced it together. I used the Simon Modern Circle die to die cut the background and popped the deer above it. A little Lawn Fawn black twine and some Doodlebug Lily White Glitter Sprinkles make perfect accents!

I loved paper piecing the last one so much that I decided to do it again. This time I grabbed Doodlebug Design’s new Christmas Town 6 x 6 paper pad. I cut the greeting from one sheet, used another for the background, one for the deer, and cut the From the North Pole strip from another. I die cut a strip from Simon’s Green Apple card stock with one of the Simon Scallop Stitches dies. Some of the cute Doodlebug washi and Sprnkles from the Christmas Town collection and some May Arts twine really set off this fun card.
