Booyah – Lawn Fawn – Firefly Crafts Guest Designer!

I was asked to do a guest designer spot for Firefly Crafts, which used to have a website, but now is more of a Facebook-based business that sells through the group Rubber Stamps and Things. I was able to pick out a couple sets to use, and since my guest designer spot was in October, I picked this great Lawn Fawn Booyah set. Lookie:

STINKIN' CUTE! I had bought one sheet of this super cute Doodlebug Design Halloween paper to use with this set, so I based all my colors off this piece of paper. I think Lawn Fawn sets in general combine well with Doodlebug Design products. I bought a lot of the Boos and Brews collection this year and used several of their products on this card.

I stamped the hats and hair for these cute ghosts first, masked them and then stamped the ghosts so they matched up perfectly (I used the MISTI for this). After that, I used the PixScan sheet and my Silhouette to cut them out. I had originally tried stamping the ghosts and the headgear separately, but I didn't like the outline around the hair/hat, and I like this much better.

The circle background was done by coloring the entire circle with Neutral Gray Copic markers, then using some colorless blending solution on a paper towel to lift tiny spots of ink to create the foggy, speckly texture. I added a few of the Eerie Eyes Sprinkles from Doodlebug Designs and one of the Spooky Spider Sprinkles…I love all the options you have with their collections!

I used the (sadly retired) My Favorite Things Washi Tape dies to create the layered greeting, making fake washi by stamping with the tiny little stamps that come in this set. Two of the Matte Doodlebug Sprinkles make a nice accent below.

And a little bit of Doodlebug Beetle Black twine to finish it off!

So cute!

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Ribbon Resource, Gina K, Sissix, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.

Enjoy! Ta!
