Coffee Lovers’ Winter Blog Hop – My Favorite Things – Season’s Tweetings et al
It's the last day of the Coffee Lovers' Winter Hop, and I wanted to get one last card in that I made earlier this week!
I really loved the Bo Bunny papers I used on one of my other cards, and I'm sort of obsessed with white-on-white cards lately. So I came up with something brilliant! Lookie:
GOJUS! (and STINKIN' CUTE!) I combined three different stamp sets because I wanted to have someone holding this mug from Merry Christmoose, and the Season's Tweetings girl was the very best one! And since I was using Hug in a Mug for the greeting, I decided she had to hug the mug!
I stamped her and the mug from with MFT's Black Licorice Hybrid pad and colored with Copics then cut out the images with the matching dies. She's a fashionista, because she's wearing Ugg boots, LOL. I decided, even though this is a white-on-white card, that she should be a person of color. There are so many beautiful skin colors in the world, and there is no reason to color every girl (or boy) the same way! So this girl could be African American or of Indian or Pakistani heritage or Hispanic. I think we should have a Card Making in All Colors initiative (yes, I love watching The Office!)
I used MFT's Snow Drifts dies to create the landscape for her to stand in, stamped the greeting from Hug in a Mug with MFT's Electric Red and heat embossed with clear EP. I added a double bow of two colors of baker's twine for an extra-festive touch.
And I''m sorry, because these snowflake embellishments are older than forever. They are Stampendous Diamond Dots Snowflakes, and I couldn't find them anywhere to link up to them. This is the first time I'd used this particular variety…I've had them forever. But they just MAKE the card!
She's brilliant! (and so am I!)
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Ribbon Resource, Gina K, Sissix, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.
