My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge 258 – Adorable Elephants
Okay, I told you I colored up a whole page of these darling pachyderms, so you are going to be seeing a few cards with them.
Plus, today is the last day to participate in the MFT Card Challenge this week, so I did this card last night for that. Lookie:
STINKIN' CUTE! I thought of the elephant from the Island of Misfit Toys, so I did one of them with polka dots. And then I thought how cute it would be to have the plain elephants in the background, and Ms. Polka Dot front and center. Certainly, an unforgettable elephant!
Behind the elephants, I used the MFT Sun Ray stencil to subtly emboss the white circle using my Empressor tool that I've had for a long time. Ideally, I would do this with a light box, but since I gave it to my daughters to use in art school, I am without one. I was able to do this fairly easily though on my desk since the lines were mostly straight.
I just got a whole slew of these self-adhesive sequins from Jillibean Soup. I wanted a unique embellishment for this card, and the little banner punch from SU! was just what I was looking for.
A nice knot of American Crafts baker's twine completes the embellishment.
Below is my list of products that I used (that are still available), and I have used affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you. Stampin' Up! product links lead to their webstore, so please be sure to indicate your preference in demonstrator if it doesn't come up automatically!
