Paper Craft Crew #241 – Simon Says Stamp More Spring Flowers
Welcome back to the Paper Crafts Crew Challenge! This week we have a sketch challenge:
I have had a lot of trouble stamping lately, both because of lack of mojo and lack of time, so I didn't get this started until late Tuesday night, but once I got going I had fun. Lookie:
GOJUS! I have a real thing for shades of aqua. You have probably noticed this. Audrey Blue from Simon Says Stamp is my favorite color in their line up! So I decided to do a monochrome style card with white and black! Originally, I had done a more multicolor look and used all the stamps tiled together, but then I decided it was too busy so I went with monochrome and stuck with just one of the stamps from More Spring Flowers.
Originally I did this just stamping the black on the blue and the blue on the white, but it needed something, so I pulled out Distressed Patterns from My Favorite Things to add some splotches and spatters to the background and the circle. I also went over the rose on the circle with a Sakura Stardust pen to add a little glam. I decided to make a Mother's Day card since that's coming up, and I need some Mother's Day cards in my Etsy shop.
The base is stamped with Versafine Onyx and the black layer is stamped with Versamark and embossed with white EP
For accents, I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins
I love how this turned out, and it really helped my mojo to create something!
