Paper Craft Crew 252 – Dreamerland Crafts Relaxing Guitar Music

Welcome back to the Paper Crafts Crew Challenge! This week we have a sketch challenge:

PCC252

This sketch made me think immediately of a great image I had colored a while back and hadn’t gotten around to putting on a card. I had pulled some cute patterned paper to go with it, so it was just a matter of cutting things up and getting going. Lookie:

STINKIN’ CUTE! Being married to a guitar player and playing the guitar myself, I’m always on the look out for great stamps with guitars. I colored him (her? could be either!) with Copics, cut the image out with the Wonky Stitched Squares dies from My Favorite Things, and mounted him on cute Spring Things paper from Doodlebug Design.

The little bird is my favorite part!

I used the Ribbon Messages stamps with matching dies from Hero Arts to create the greeting, stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and highlighted with my favorite Sakura Stardust pen. I added some grass washi from 3M at the bottom of the matted image and a big of baker’s twine.

I love this Sunny Skies Cute Clip from Doodlebug Design.

And a couple of Doodlebug Sprinkles finish things off nicely.

At first I couldn’t decide if this was just too busy, but I finally came to the conclusion that it just works because the image is strong and the greeting is stamped on colors that tie in with the main part of the image. I love it!

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up! links go to my BFF Wendy Weixler’s store, who does not pay me except in eternal friendship, but you can change to your favorite demonstrator if you prefer. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.

Enjoy! Ta!
