Paper Crafts Crew 271 – Simon Says Stamp Yuletide Holiday

Welcome back to the Paper Crafts Crew Challenge! This week we have a sketch challenge:

PCC271

I have been using a lot of blue lately, so I decided to pull out some warmer colors. So I grabbed a set I had gotten recently and got busy. Lookie:

GOJUS! I hesitated to use any of my Christmas 6 x 6 pads because most of them are discontinued, so I grabbed the Creekside Canoe pad from American Crafts and chose a few papers from there with a Christmas feel, even though it has more of a rustic/camping theme.

I used MFT card stock for everything but the pine needle shapes. This button is a retired one from SU with some of their linen thread. I found similar buttons on Amazon, which I linked below.

I heat embossed both the greeting and these images with Hero Arts White embossing powder.

A couple of enamel dots strengthened the visual triangle and helped link up to the green color on the other side.

All in all, I’m happy with my “anti-blue” card, but then, I will be back with more blue cards later in the week. It just can’t be helped!

You can play along with our challenge by clicking on this link.

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up! links go to my BFF Wendy Weixler’s store, who does not pay me except in eternal friendship, but you can change to your favorite demonstrator if you prefer. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.

Enjoy! Ta!
