Paper Crafts Crew 259 – Mama Elephant Up and Away
Welcome back to the Paper Crafts Crew Challenge! This week we have an inspiration challenge:
I love this photo. The colors are so bright and cheerful, but I also wanted to use the umbrella image with the colors. I have a number of sets that have umbrellas that I could use, but my choice fell on this cute Mama Elephant set that I got 3 years ago. Mama Elephant consistently tempted me to stray from my usual SU! stamps back then, and they still do! Lookie:
STINKIN’ CUTE! I could have settled on just one of these cute animals, but I wanted to use all the colors so I needed more than one. And I felt this would make a great encouragement card and having more than one animal would tell my recipient that they were not alone.
I colored all my little animals with Copic markers
I added a little bit of Sakura black glaze pen to the eyes and the handles of the umbrellas.
I love this fun little monkey! You have the option of adding the tail or not. I stamped the rain with Simon Says Stamp Blue Jay and also with Delicata White Shimmer ink.
I stamped the greeting with Versafine Onyx Black and heat embossed with clear EP. I added the Nuvo drops for raindrops with a bit of bling.
I popped the finished piece up on craft foam up on a piece of Ballet Blue, a long-retired SU! color which I hoard because there is nothing like it anywhere.

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up! links go to my BFF Wendy Weixler’s store, who does not pay me except in eternal friendship, but you can change to your favorite demonstrator if you prefer. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.
