Paper Crafts Crew 270 – My Favorite Things Let It Snowflake Too et al

Welcome back to the Paper Crafts Crew Challenge! This week we have a sketch challenge:

PCC270

I decided to change the flowers into snowflakes, since it’s that time of year. And this card grew into something…well, EXTRA. Extra sparkly, extra complicated, extra everything! But it works!

GOJUS!!!! And I promise you, it was MORE glittery at one point. I edited it somewhat. I used some DCWV Glitzy Glitter card stock to die cut the snowflakes out with the new MFT Stamps Let It Snowflake Too dies.

I used MFT’s Distressed Patterns to create the glimmery background with Delicata Sapphire Blue and Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue ink.

For the greeting I used Altenew’s Inline Alphabet dies combined with one of the greetings from Simon Says Stamp’s Frozen Fractals set. I positioned the letters over some glimmery card stock from Simon Says Stamp and a piece of SU!’s retired Brilliant Blue card stock heat embossed with part of that Simon Says Stamp greeting, both cut with MFT’s Slanted Sentiments strips. While you can’t get the Brilliant Blue card stock any longer, I’ve linked up something that should be the same color below.

I found that once I put the flourish I cut with MFT’s Stitched Fancy Flourish over the background, that the largest snowflake kind of got lost against the background so I put a vellum card stock circle underneath it, cut with Simon Says Stamp’s Stitched Circle dies.

I finished off the card with some Simon Says Stamp Fancy Fractals snowflake sequin mix. It’s so lovely! I’m really happy with it!

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up! links go to my BFF Wendy Weixler’s store, who does not pay me except in eternal friendship, but you can change to your favorite demonstrator if you prefer. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.

Enjoy! Ta!
