Paper Crafts Crew #245 – Concord and 9th Written in the Stars

Welcome back to the Paper Crafts Crew Challenge! This week we have a tic-tac-toe challenge:

I decided to do the top row for my card. I grabbed a set I had gotten quite a ways back for this card. I decided to use multiple colors of ink for my bright colors, some Doodlebug Sprinkles for my enamel embellishments as well as the sparkle/bling in combination with my trusty Sakura Stardust pen. Lookie:

GOJUS! Even though I used bright colors, I decided this would make a great Missing You card.

I did a blended background with Tumbled Glass distress ink but the rest of the ink colors were from Simon Says Stamp. I both stamped clouds using the stamp from the set as well as used these nifty Chevron Clouds dies I picked up from Simon Says Stamp when they had a sale. I had to shim the die sandwich up and use the #110 weight cardstock to get the chevrons to emboss into the card stock, but I think the texture adds a lot.

I love how the Doodlebug Sprinkles look like rain drops!

To add to the rainy feel, I used a ruler and my Sakura Stardust pen to create rain falling from one of the clouds.

I love how it turned out!

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC,, Gina K, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.

Enjoy! Ta!
