Paper Craft Crew 296 – Concord & 9th – Shine On
Welcome back to the Paper Craft Crew Challenge! This week we have a sketch challenge.
I pulled out a new set I got this past week from Concord & 9th. They are really pushing all my buttons and lighting the idea bulbs over my head, especially with this set, Shine On! Lookie:
GOJUS! I have a thing for light bulb images, so I was eager to get my hands on this set. I stamped the light bulb, filament, cord, sparkles, and rays with Altenew inks. I added some soft color with the same inks using a blending tool.
I stamped the top of the bulb with Versafine Onyx Black and heat embossed with clear. I added some of my favorite Sakura Stardust pen to the word “Shine” and the rays inside the light bulb. I die cut both the top and the bulb with the matching dies and popped them up over the background
I wanted the whole card to glimmer, so I spritzed the background and the light bulb with shimmer spray made with Perfect Pearls to add more sheen. I added some sequins to my sparkles, and to help balance the visual triangle I added some washi tape and a tiny piece of May Arts ribbon with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.
I love how this turned out!

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up! links go to my BFF Wendy Weixler’s store, who does not pay me except in eternal friendship, but you can change to your favorite demonstrator if you prefer. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.
