Season’s Givings 2019 Blog Hop – Mitten State Stamps January Release

***Comments have been closed as the time period to make comments for the giveaway has ended.***

Welcome to my blog for the Season’s Givings Blog Hop Year 7! It’s also an exciting release day for me, and I’m so thrilled to share my latest stamps at the same time. If you aren’t aware, I now have my own line of stamps, Mitten State Stamps, exclusively through Technique Junkies, and they release today! I’m also participating in the Technique Junkies release celebration!

I have been a member of the stamping community since 1997, and it’s exciting to be able to give back in this blog hop to that community which has provided me so much external validation! Your comments and likes are really what keep me going on days when I just want to give it all up! So it seems quite fitting that for this hop I give away the new Mitten State stamp sets that are debuting today. There are two prize packages, which two lucky people will win, one each. The last day to comment to win is January 6, 2019. Only one comment, extra comments will be deleted and do not count. There is no purchase necessary.

Prize #1 is these two sets, Cat Frame and Cat Greetings!

Prize #2 is this set of 6 stamps called Coffee Art! (this particular packaging says set of 9, but it’s really 6).

To be eligible to win one of these packages please comment, letting me know if you have a preference! I also invite you to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube,  or sign up to follow my blog using the handy icons/forms in my right sidebar.

Let me show you the samples I made using these sets!

GOJUS! I had a lot of fun painting and coloring with these sets, which is the primary thing I design my stamps for. I love to color and I don’t think there are enough stamps out there to satisfy my needs! So I made my own!

Mitten State Stamps Coffee Art

This set, Better with Coffee, has 5 different sayings that center perfectly in the coffee cup. This card I painted with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. I am a big coffee addict and am always looking for great coffee stamps. I had a brain wave when I found the stock photograph I drew this stamp from…why not create stamps that look like coffee art?

I used the same set with Copic markers with a different saying. I love the ability of this set to not only vary the saying, but changing the skin color, nail color, wood color, and even the saucer and cup. And I left space up in the top left corner to add my favorite two dot embellishment with enamel dots, brads, buttons, or whatever you’ve got.

Mitten State Stamps Cat Frame

This card uses the Cat Frame and Cat Greetings sets. I love cats! I wish I had one, but my husband is allergic to pet dander so we stopped being owned by cats a long time ago. I painted this kitty to resemble my last cat, Spanky, a cute Maine coon cat, with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors, and the greeting was stamped in Versamark Onyx Black and heat embossed with clear EP.

When I drew this, I even added some spots in the eyes to let you know where to add the highlights. Don’t be afraid to add lots of color to the fur!
