Mama Elephant Nom Nom Kitties Birthday Card
We’ve had two birthdays at our house in the past month, and so I have made some birthday cards. This one is for my middle child, who loves loves loves ramen and pho, so I decided to pull out Nom Nom Kitties from Mama Elephant and make her a fun card. Lookie:
STINKIN’ CUTE! I started out by doing some ink blending on the background using Wendy Vecchi’s Blendable Inks with my Life Changing Brushes. I also made an ink-blended piece and cut the letters H-A-P-P-Y out using Altenew’s Caps Bold Alphabet dies.
Down on the bottom of the background, I stamped kitties. I wanted to highlight just the kitty eating ramen, so I stamped the other kitties in Ranger Watering Can, then stamped the ramen kitty in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him with Copic markers. I added some Sakura Black Glaze pen to the eyes. I used two other sets from Mama Elephant, Small Talk and Occasional Labels.
I added the washi behind the letters to help add some punch, and then I used my Sakura Stardust pen to add little patterns to the letters and the ramen bowl.
Emily loved her card, and I hope you do too!
