Mama Elephant Space Bears Thank You Card
My middle child graduated from the College for Creative Studies this month, and she already has a job with the place she was interning for the past year and a half. She’s a very talented motion graphic designer, and she wanted to thank her boss, who was also one of her professors in college, for all his help. The company is called Lunar North, so she wanted something space related, and as so often happens when I make cards for her or to give to her friends, I turned to a Mama Elephant set, Space Bears. Lookie:
STINKIN’ CUTE! I don’t have the matching dies for this set, so I did everything with masking.
I colored the entire piece with Copic markers, using every marker from the BV family for the starry sky. I cut out the greeting with the Rounded Alphabet die set from Simon Says Stamp. I added some Diamond Glaze from Judikins to the helmet. I also used some Stampendous Class-A Peels star stickers to add some special sparkle to the sky and used my Sakura Stardust pen to make smaller stars.
I added the logo of the College for Creative Studies to the little flag.
I don’t add inside greetings often to my cards, but this little Mission Accomplished stamp seemed to be perfect along with this tiny rocket which I added some lines to make it look like it was blasting off. My kid is on her way to her new adventure.
She also gave him a gift card to a nice bakery/lunch spot in downtown Detroit where they work, so I created a pocket with the We R Memory Keepers Pocket Punch Board out of some starry paper I had in the stash.
I waited until she gave him the card before I blogged, just in case he came across it on Instagram. I love how it turned out! Space Bears is a cute set that should come in handy for me to make more cards for her for work colleagues!
